Lets picture voidwalkers as someone who is new to the game, played it for a while, and a long time player, all with different goals and expectations.
Imagine you just bought deepwoken. your friends have been nagging you to play it, youve seen how diverse the game is, or you are a fan of the "skill based combat" that you've been promised. it doesnt matter. After finishing the tutorial, you set out to lower erisia, adapting to the combat system and killing a few mudskippers and bandits. you power up with your training equipment and find some gear with subpar stats. This game is so fun! People here are so nice! with the best of intentions!
Turns out, that just doesnt work in deepwoken
After dying to a sharko, you see a fellow player approach you in odd clothing, you ask him how to get started, if he has any tips. And then he stars running for his life, even without Air Dash.
Im sure you know how it ended with our poor new player here.
Now, deepwoken isint made for everyone, and thats okay, but it's very punishing to new players as is, but people like sir voidwalker here couldnt care less about Brick Kalinof. usually people arent too nice with an easy bounty.
And at only power 5, Brick Kalinof is already stricken with the grief of losing his first character, to SOMEONE ELSE.
He doesnt know why

But thats the standard hes setting for everyone he meets from now on.
Why are people like this?
Now, lets talk about someone who decided to brush it off. he moved on. hes not quitting deepwoken because he wants to work towards a fun endgame and maybe get some revenge on these people called voidwalkers. he thinks, "why would someone want to ruin another person's day? why are people in deepwoken such cruel people?"
Hes become a bastion of kindness, someone who actively makes an effort to spread joy throughout the Etrean Luminant.
But then.
Hes exploring this new land hes only ever seen in guides, this snowy land inhabited with dark cultists with sinister plans. finally beating the trial of one, loosely based off a guide, he sets out for some EXP and some well-earned exploration.
Pebble Mora spots another player, with a black spiral. he knows exactly what hes here for. And with his battleaxe, he fights the voidwalker with nothing in his mind but victory.
And he wins.
Agrippa Bren lays knocked on the ground, he says nothing.
Pebble Mora feels great. he just fended off someone sent from the void's grasp to slaughter him with no mercy and won.
But as he walked off, trying to find the crypt, hes met with six max level jetstrikers, contractors, and more voidwalkers, rushing towards him.
All of them from Ashen Moon, the guild of the man he gripped.
All of them spinning back on a power 10 with max level slots.
All of them with the black spirals circling around them like enchantments.
Pebble Mora left to the main menu and, in another server, started heading to starswept valley. He wonders,

Heathcliff Eshet is looking at the bounty board and finds two bounties he thinks he can take on.
His friend, also at voidheart, decides to come with him to assist Heathcliff Eshet with his bounty.
Heathcliff Eshet sneaks up on Pebble Mora and waits for the perfect time to strike. when Pebble Mora is distracted with fighting a King Thresher, both Heathcliff and Binah suddenly tag-teamed Pebble, but Pebble ran away, with his mobility mantras easily allowing him to evacuate from the voidwalker duo.
"Oh, CMON!" Heathcliff feels like every single time hes just trying to get a bounty, they always run away!
why are bounties like this?
Instead of the mass gankings and runnings and both parties just avoiding a fair, kind duel, voidheart is a place contaminated by hate, greed, and sin.
The three of these people all think
Why cant voidwalker just be
"like an elo thing, so i dont have to fight people that are so much better than i am"
"some mechanics that make it so that multiple people cant gang up on the same person or or flood servers to spin back on bounties because people cant take a loss"
"something that prevents people from just running, i want to feel like im fighting in a life or death situation, without the usual chase. why cant they just make it a queue menu, so i dont get ganked at voidheart?"
Im not saying that im justified and voidwallkers are bad, im saying that everyone has their own principles, they're own way of judgement, and they're own expectations and standards.
Even Elden Ring did it better with world invasions like cmon
Anyway point is archmage should not only listen to people that are W rank because new players also have opinions and whatever
And this isint a cry to benefit myself im not a permafreshe and i certaintly have no problem with getting jumped and killed
Im saying they should rework voidwalker into something that both hunter and prey feel okay with
I swear if one of you just goes off to tell me im wrong and not even read this entire thing

Rework voidwalker because right now it never feels fair for both the voidwalker and the people getting hunted by them and is usually never fun when
New player is made to fight someone entirely better than them with no chance
Experienced player is jumped while weak giving them a disadvantage
Voidwalker has to chase down people that run and sometimes run from people
And dont say "oh just do this" "oh just do that"
